A wonderful GP to me and my twin brother for many years. I remember that we were both very ill in bed at our parents house in Ratcliffe on the Wreake, and our parents were away, when the phone rang and it was Dr Crowe. He asked how we were and would he like us to pop in as he was in the area!
I always relate that tale to any GP and it certainly gives them a chuckle.

So sad to hear this news.
Dr Crowe was an amazing doctor; who helped me and my family on many occasions.
Thank you Doctor Crowe for taking part in the ‘Smoking’ debate with 6th form students at Wreake Valley Community College.
You were up against a top man from London who was paid by the FORREST organisation.
Your argument against smoking won the debate; and the man in the Saville Row suit caught his train back to London.
Thank you Doctor Crowe for all your care.
